About - Behind Me
Ahh, the anthem of car wreck creators and Psycho Drivers!
I have been / am still, both of the characters in this
song.
The song was about to be shelved for being too nasty when I
played if for two friends (big blues fans) in Saint John,
NB, who said they liked it. It was also well received (with
whoops and all!) when I played it in a small Halifax club.
A few months later, I got a $230 fine for speeding and lost
my license for a week. Now in Nova Scotia, I've heard that
the fine for speeding is $500, which is very annoying.
RANT: Actually, I think carmakers should not make
speedometers that go up to 260 kph. Really, the 100 km/ 60
mph mark should be around the 3 o'clock position so we'd be
psyched into thinking we were speeding even when driving at
the posted highway limit. I've never understood why our
poor '91 Corsica had a speedometer that went up to 240, who
were they trying to fool? END RANT.
QUOTE: "Ya' know, it only takes one person obeying the law
to ruin it for all us speeders."
I'd love to hear a version of this done by someone with
great electric guitar sounds like George Thurogood, Ry
Cooder or
