A Page (With You
& I In Love)

Hmm. Every
time I move
I wrap everything.
Glass and books and
photo albums.
I like the pictures best
most from years ago
and every single frame
is memory.
Snapshots of silk sails, in sunlight
fuzzy frames of friends, in fire light
and I've got a page with you and I in love
So don't pretend there wasn't, ever
a time we loved as if, forever
'Cuz I have a page with you and I in love
You, reinvent yourself
every other time
your heart lingers on
another.
I'm, steady every day
Leave nothin' much behind
keeping things that hold
memory
Snapshots of silk sails, in sun light
fuzzy frames of friends, in fire light
and I've got a page with you and I in love
So don't pretend there wasn't, ever
a time we loved as if, forever
'Cuz I have a page with you and I in love
I, keep boxes of things
for rare and quiet times
don't feel the need to
throw away my
self. I don't regret the past
it made me who I am
and who I am is fine
with memory.
Snapshots of silk sails, in sun light
fuzzy frames of friends, in fire light
and I've got a page with you and I in love
So don't pretend there wasn't, ever
a time we loved as if, forever
'Cuz I have a page with you and I in love
