A-TUMBLIN’ DOWN

Here
I am again with paper, and pen
Another crisis in my head
Tried counting sheep, but I couldn't find sleep
Don't know why I'm still lying in bed
What's in my brain that I should be a-sayin'
How come I just can't clear my mind?
I run at a locked door, and go back for more
'cuz I'm deflected every time
And
there's you: loving everything about me
While she, holds all you love in her hands
And you, know only too well
How she sends my world a-tumblin' down
She sends my world, a-tumblin' down
She sends my world, a-tumblin' on down
So we meet again, as friends
Then lovers as the moon gets higher
Passions return. Kisses that burn
Stroke up an old, doomed fire
You say things to me and in this fantasy
I'm way up on some pedestal
As a fire-breathing youth, I always told the truth
Now I can't seem to find the will
And
there's you: loving everything about me
While she, holds all you love in her hands
And you, know only too well
How she sends my world a-tumblin' down
She sends my world a-tumblin' down
She sends my world, a-tumblin' on down
I'll
tell you, what I don't want to:
"My heart's reserved for what's her name".
If you will stay, I won't pull away
And for tonight
We'll
for-get
About
how she sends my world a-tumblin' down
How she sends my world a-tumblin' down
We won’t talk about my world, a-tumblin', down.
